December 6, 2021 Homicides 42 and 43 Ties 2020 Total

The Allen County Coroner has officially identified 19-year-old Brendan Steave Cole as the 42nd homicide victim of 2021.

Additionally, the Coroner has identified 16-year-old Juan Jose Ramirez, Jr as the 43rd homicide victim of 2021, tying last year’s total of 43 homicides.

  1. I was thinking that there seemed to be more White murder victims this year but if this holds up it will be the first time in a long time that FW has had a group other than blacks as the runaway leaders in homicide victims. This isn't the case in other large cities.

  2. You make a very good observation, Arthur. While publicly-available records only go back to 2005, I only have victim demographic data from 2010 on. You are correct. This is the first year, that I have been keeping records, that more victims are white. One of the reasons for this may be the fact that at least two of the homicides involved multiple victims that included children/family members.
